Our History
Rivergate was founded by Andrew Robertson, a seasoned entrepreneur with a robust track record of founding and scaling companies across diverse sectors, including energy and industrial services.
Professional Tool Rental
Specialized in deep water oilfield rental equipment and services. PRT grew to become an API Q2 certified leader in the global offshore industry. Sold in October 2023, the transaction valued at $124 million.
Mako Lift
Specialized in gas-lift valves, mandrels, and related engineering services for the oil and gas industry. At the time of exit in February 2025 , the company was valued at $34 million.
Robertson Energy
A privately held oil and gas company established in 2015 that currently develops conventional oil and gas assets along the Gulf Coast Basin.
Icon Crane
Founded in April 2025, Icon is a crane rental, heavy lift, and transportation solutions provider headquartered in Midland, Texas. It is rooted in the Texas oil and gas sector, but has quickly scaled operations to support various commercial and industrial markets.
Blue Ridge Directional
Blue Ridge Directional, which began operations in October 2025, is a horizontal directional drilling company that specializes in trenchless utility installations, pipeline crossings, and underground infrastructure across a broad spectrum of major industries.
