Hunter currently serves as President & COO of the Rivergate portfolio of companies and is also the President of Blue Ridge Directional, LLC., one of Rivergate’s core business units.

With degrees in geology and petroleum engineering, as well as experience managing diverse oilfield assets , Hunter is well versed in the dynamics of the upstream oil and gas sector.

As CEO of Drive and Whitney, he successfully transformed distressed assets into a profitable enterprise. He reduced operating expenses and directed capital programs yielding high returns.

Additionally, at Hilcorp Energy Company, Hunter oversaw production growth, and successfully managed capital budgets while outperforming planned production and cost targets.
